The partner-branded Dashwire experience begins as a partner’s customer – whether first-time smartphone users or migrating phone-to-phone – is presented with an easy-to-follow Get Started wizard. From there, partner-customized quick setup steps are accessed, either on the phone or via web browser on a device with a bigger screen and keyboard, such as a laptop or tablet.
And that’s just the beginning of a harmonious smartphone setup experience…
What we do
Dashwire offers our operator and retailer partners a range of modules that simplify the smartphone setup experience for partner customers through the device ownership life cycle.
The Dashwire modules can be accessed in a variety of ways, including: on the smartphone, on devices with larger screens and keyboards via web browser, or by interacting with partner-branded NFC panels in places such as retail stores or promotional events (NFC personalization is a patent-pending Dashwire innovation).
This module helps our partners’ customers quickly and easily start “fresh” with a new smartphone or migrate over-the-air from an existing one. A fresh start includes partner-defined elements such as email accounts and social accounts (single sign-on support is available), contacts, settings, ringtones, wallpaper, widgets, shortcuts, apps, media, SMS, and other operator value-added services. Migration from an existing smartphone using Get Started includes most elements available with a fresh start.
Beyond the initial Getting Started session, users can revisit the user-friendly and familiar Dashwire app to resume the quick-setup process or discover and set up other settings and services that are prioritized by our partner. Users can view reminder notifications they sent themselves during the Get Started process, as well as review reminders and other notices sent to their phone by our partner.
For our partners’ customers that have Dashwire installed on their smartphones from the Get Started process, moving settings and content to a new smartphone is a quick, effortless, over-the-air experience.
